We hope you will find our site full of helpful information on travel, adventure, food, and lifestyle in general.  We came up with the idea of this site while enjoying handcrafted cocktails at the Ritz-Carlton in Cancun a while ago. Our vacation was coming to an end, and like nearly everyone, we were lamenting about having to return to our day jobs. Wouldn’t it be great to be on permanent vacation, we thought.

Over the next few weeks and months, we continued to think about that. We live in a beautiful place with access to the best restaurants and shopping. We are located in an area that allows us quick access to the beach, the mountains, and the big city all within a few hours’ drive. While we still have those pesky day jobs, by changing our mindset from being stuck at work 40+ hours a week to taking advantage of all the opportunity around us, we have taken the first steps into that permanent vacation!

About Us

Dan and Jennifer Hudson met while working in Leesburg Virginia in the mid-90s. They have been married for over 20 years, and have an adult son, Cody, along with two adult children from Dan’s first marriage. As the kids grew up and moved out, Dan and Jennifer downsized to a 2 bedroom apartment closer to the city. They share the apartment with a rather spoiled cat named Gracie. They have spent the greater part of the last 20 years suffering through endless desk jobs, but look forward to life outside of the box.
